dbz characters
This is where all the DBZ characters I can fathom will be placed and described somewhat. (Note: these descriptions are different from the DB character descriptions. Also, movie characters and specials characters are explained in those two sections...)
Son Goku: The main character of DBZ (even though DBZ is supposed to be the story of Son Gohan...) and second son of Bardock. Born under the Saiya-jin name Kakarotto. In DBZ he starts off by him finding out that he is a Saiya-jin and that his brother is Radditz. Radditz kidnaps his kid and Son Goku teams up with Piccolo to get him back and kill Radditz. Son Goku ends up holding Radditz while Piccolo uses his Makankosappo on both of them, killing them both. Son Goku goes into the Afterlife where he meets up with Kami-Sama and sees Enmadaiou-Sama about training with the North Kaio. Enmadaiou-Sama agrees and let's Son Goku onto Serpent Path. After a few months, he makes it to North Kaio's planet, and trains there for about a month. Then he's resurrected with the Dragon Balls and makes it across Serpent Path in a few hours. He goes and fights the Saiya-jin Nappa and defeats him, and then fights Vegeta and with the help of some others, makes him retreat. Son Goku is in the hospital for about a week until Yajirobe brings him some Senzu Beans, after which he takes off for Namek. He trains inside the shuttle with the gravity controller under 100x earth's gravity. When he lands on Namek, he takes out Baata and Rikum of the Ginyu Force. Then Jiisu runs away and gets Ginyu. Ginyu fights him for a while, then changes bodies, and flies off. Son Goku follows him, and gets changed back into his own body. But his own body was beaten to a pulp by Vegeta when he was fighting Ginyu in his body. So Son Goku has to go into a rejuvinator for a few hours. While he's in there, he senses the Freeza battle going on and after he's done, breaks out of the rejuvinator and fights Freeza. Freeza beats the poo outta him eventually, and Son Goku resorts to the Genki Dama, which upon contact he thinks has killed Freeza, but Freeza comes back and kills Kuririn and mortally wounds Piccolo. This causes Son Goku to get really mad and go Super Saiya-jin. Son Goku then throttles Freeza and almost dies in the explosion on Namek. But he finds a space capsule and takes off in the nick of time. He lands on Planet Yadratt, and there he learns how to do the Shunkan-Iou, or Teleport technique. He then comes back to Earth and meets Mirai-Trunks. Then he begins training for the Android battle. During the battle with the Androids, Son Goku begins to suffer from his heart disease which he contracted on Planet Yadratt. Mirai-Trunks gives him the medicine he recieved in the future to Son Goku and he recovers. Then he comes back and gets ready to fight the Androids some more, but then Cell shows up. After fighting Cell a while, Cell decides to self-detonate. So Son Goku grabs ahold of Cell and teleports to North Kaio's planet where Cell explodes, killing Son Goku, North Kaio, Bubbles, and Gregory. After this, Son Goku continues his training in the afterlife. He participates in the Anoyoichi Budoukai, in which he meets Paikuhan. He continues his training, but then uses his one day to come back to Earth to participate in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai. But when he does so, Babidi and Dabura come to Earth and try to find Majin Buu. Son Goku, Son Gohan, Vegeta, and Kaioshin go there and try to settle the problem. In the spaceship, Son Goku fights Yakkon, an energy sucking beast. Son Goku uses that fact against him and overflows him with energy. Son Goku then goes on to fight Majin-Vegeta. He fights him for a while, but then loses when Vegeta knocks him out. Son Goku wakes up and teleports to Kami's pad. He and the others discuss how to take out Majin Buu, and Son Goku decides to teach Trunks and Goten the fusion technique. He teaches them how to do it, and then returns to the Afterlife. There he notices that Kaioshin has brought Son Gohan to his planet and he goes and watches them to see what they're doing. Son Goku watches Rou Kaioshin give him a powerup, and then says goodbye to Son Gohan. Son Goku is brought back to life, however, when Rou Kaioshin sacrifices his life to Son Goku and let's him be resurrected once more. Then Son Goku comes to Earth and fuses with Vegeta using the Potara Earrings. Then Vegetto unfuses inside Buu and they release everyone inside Super Buu. After this, Goku goes SSJ3 and attempts to kill Kid Buu, but runs out of energy and deludes to normal SSJ. There, he makes a Super Genki Dama and takes out Kid Buu. During the 28th Tenkaichi Budoukai, he leaves in the middle of to train Ubuu. That's the end of his stint in DBZ.
Son Gohan: In DBZ, we're introduced to Son Goku's first half Saiya-jin kid, Son Gohan. The other two choices Chichi thought up were Tolstoy and Akimeters... but Son Goku didn't think that they took very well and named him "rice/meal", Gohan. He's a very important character in DBZ. The thing about him is that he has lots of power locked away inside of him. In every battle he's in, you can kinda see that power bursting at the seams, but never gets released. He gets some of that unlocked by Saichourou, but it's all unlocked after he's powered up by Rou Kaioshin. Once he got all of it unlocked, even Super Buu was a pretty easy opponent for him. He's a big character, but as far as his main villain kill count goes, he just can't seem to get the job done. Big exception for the Cell Saga though. The little guy totally stomped the Cell Jrs. and Cell himself. He first went SSJ in the room of Spirit and Time, but he wasn't the first. He was the first, however, to attain SSJ2 level, which gives him some credit. Son Gohan is a very strong guy, indeed... but near the end of the series, he just becomes a total geek and stops training. Doesn't mean he stops fighting though. He's still the Great Saiyaman, his superhero alter-ego. At the end of the series, he marries Videl and has one kid, Pan, a 1/4 saiya-jin. He attends Orange Star High School during the Majin Buu Saga.
Son Goten: Son Goku and Chichi's second son. Introduced for the first time in the Majin Buu Saga. A very strong lad, indeed. Able to SSJ when he was 6, he discovered he could do this while training with his mother, Chichi. He participated in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai Children's Division, only to fall short at a defeat from his best friend Chibi-Trunks. He also went on after that to learn the Fusion technique along with Trunks, making them able to make the super warrior Gotenks. His importance in the series himself is somewhat limited, but since he is essential to make Gotenks, his importance with others is quite high. At the end of the series, he loses a lot of interest in fighting and just becomes lazy. He also grows up to not look like his father very much at all, unlike in his younger years when he was a spittin' image of him. He dies when Kid Buu blows up the Earth, but he's brought back.
Mirai-Trunks: The Trunks from the future. Comes to the present timeline at the age of 17. He's pretty important, I'd say. His main purpose when he came back was to give Son Goku some heart medicine, which he did do, but he also stuck around to help in the fight with Cell. That would be the end for him, though, as Cell killed Mirai-Trunks. He was brought back, however, with the Dragon Balls. That was about the end of his story, except that he went back to the future (Back to the Future... HA!... -_-) and killed off the evil Android #17 and #18 that we see in the TV special.
Chibi-Trunks: Mirai-Trunks's shorter and more naive counterpart. One year older than Son Goten, he has a slight edge over him in power, but not much. It's not exactly sure when he first goes SSJ, but the first time we see it is when he's in the gravity room at the Briefs residence with Vegeta. Like Son Goten, he participated in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai, except that he won. And also like Goten, his importance to the series himself is pretty limited, but since he's necessary for Gotenks to be made, that makes him pretty important there... he dies when the Earth explodes, but he's brought back.
Vegeta: The Prince (or would it be "King" now...?) of the Saiya-jin. He's married to Bulma and had two kids with her, Trunks and Bra. He first arrives on earth during the Saiya-jin saga, where he fights and is beaten by Son Goku. He recooperates, and goes to Namek to try and find the Dragon Balls. It's there that he has to fight Freeza and unfortunately, Vegeta dies fighting him. He's brought back using the Dragon Balls, however, and is then off until Trunks comes around. After that, he trains in space and becomes SSJ for the first time. Plenty of events happen after that, and he goes SSJ2 while training, it is thought. But then he put under the influence of Babidi and becomes Majin-Vegeta. Majin-Vegeta defeats Son Goku in a battle by knocking him out, but he doesn't kill him. He flies off to fight Majin Buu, in which he does a suicidal technique and kicks the bucket for the second time. But he comes back later thanks to Uranai Baba and helps Son Goku make Vegetto. Afterwards, he's granted life once more. That's kind of a shammy description of Vegeta, but it gets the major points across.
King Vegeta: The King of the Saiya-jins. Vegeta's father. He's a very strong individual himself, but he's nothing compared to Freeza. He tries to fight Freeza, but is killed very easily by him.
Bra: Vegeta and Bulma's second child. Not a whole to say about her, except that she doesn't fight and much more like her mother than she is her father.
Bulma: Another main character in DBZ. Daughter of Dr. Briefs, founder of Capsule Corp.. She's married to Vegeta. She had 2 kids with him, Trunks and Bra. In the series, she doesn't fight at all, but she does help out the group with various inventions and items to help them. She makes such items as the English Scouter, the Dragon Radar, Saiya-jin armor, etc etc.. Not only did she make those items for them, she made items for other people like Son Gohan, for instance. Son Gohan had her make him a watch that when pressed made him into the Great Saiyaman. At the end of the series, she's killed when Super Buu eats everyone on Kami's lookout, but she's brought back with the Dragon Balls.
Great Saiyaman: The Great Saiyaman is the local superhero of Satan City. He's really Son Gohan, but he'd rather not tell people that. The Great Saiyaman was at one time The Golden Haired Warrior, but Son Gohan figured that if he was going to be saivng the city from bad guys, he might as well become a superhero. With the help of Bulma, he got a watch made that when pressed, would put him in his special Great Saiyaman costume. He protects the city a lot, as does Videl, who after a bit of spying learns that Son Gohan is the Great Saiyaman. She forces him to compete in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai, where it's revealed that he is the Great Saiyaman anyways.
Ox King: Gyuu Maou is back from DB, and he now lives with Chichi, Son Goku, and Son Gohan. He does next to nothing in the series, much like Oolong, Puar, and the others, and does eventually fade away. But he eventually does die, as when Super Buu escapes from the Room of Spirit and Time, he eats everyone. He dies then, but he is wished back with the Dragon Balls.
Chichi: Son Goku's wife and Ox King's daughter. With Son Goku she had two kids, Son Gohan and Son Goten. Like all the other non-fighters, she's mainly a sideline cheer person. She pushes Son Gohan to study quite a bit, but when Son Goten came along she encouraged him to train. Odd... well, anyways, she dies in the Majin Buu Saga BEFORE Earth explodes and BEFORE Super Buu escapes from the Room of Spirit and Time. She's turned into an egg while attacking Super Buu with a mop and is cracked into pieces, which kinda serves as a catalyst for Son Goten to start training harder.
Yajirobe: The wandering monk is back, and more of a coward than ever. Perhaps one of the more important minor characters, Yajirobe comes in every once in a good while and does something important. For instance, in the Saiya-jin Saga, when Oozaru-Vegeta is thrashing about on Earth and almost has everything in the bag, Yajirobe shows up and cuts off his tail. Important moment there... at some point during DBZ, Yajirobe moves in with Senpyou in Karin Tower. He often delivers senzu beans to the fighters. But other than that and his few important moments... that's about all he does after the Saiya-jin Saga. Deliver senzu beans for Senpyou. He also dies when Super Buu uses his Special Human Genocide Attack.
Majin Buu: The ultimate creation of Bibidi. Majin Buu at one point millions of years ago before DB even began wrecked havoc across the universe, and even made it all the way to Kaioshin-Kai, where he killed off West Kaioshin, North Kaioshin, and South Kaioshin. After absorbing them... he absorbed Dai Kaioshin, which made him more sane and cute looking. Majin Buu continued destroying the universe, but Bibidi decided that he was much too powerful to have running amuck, so he sealed him away in an egg and put it down on Earth. His son, Babidi, found the egg, however, and made it hatch by feeding it fighting power gained from combat. He hatched and out came Majin Buu. He continued his rampage on Earth, and made himself a house, but then Mr. Satan showed up. Mr. Satan got him to stop killing people because "it was bad". Strangely enough, Majin Buu agreed and things looked ok for a while... but then Mr. Satan and their dog Wa-chan were shot, and afterwards, Majin Buu got so pissed off that all of his bad and evil came out with the angry steam he always makes when he's mad. That led to the creation of Fat Buu and Evil Buu...
Fat Buu: This is the Buu that was left after Majin Buu got pissed off and steamed out all his evil. Fat Buu is weaker than all his counterparts, but is still very strong. He's a very nice individual who enjoys his company of Mr. Satan and Wa-chan/Bee. We only see Fat Buu at the end of DBZ and right after Evil Buu is created because... Evil Buu beats Fat Buu pretty badly, turns him into a cookie, and eats him. He doesn't die, though.
Evil Buu: The other Buu incarnate created by Majin Buu. He's created when Majin Buu exerts all that steam when he gets made that those two gunmen shot Mr. Satan and Wa-chan. We only see this Buu for about 1 and 1/8 of an episode because after he eats Fat Buu he becomes Super Buu. Evil Buu looks different than all the other Buu versions. He's tall, skinny (like anorexic skinny), and, here's the big difference... he's bluish-gray! That's about it for him... next Buu is...
Super Buu: The combonation of Fat Buu and Evil Buu... you know, Evil Buu ate Fat Buu and gained his various powers and such. Super Buu is tall, pink, and skinny (not anorexic skinny like Evil Buu... thin like Son Gohan...). Also, unlike his counterparts, he can sense ki. Super Buu engages in one of the funniest fights in DBZ, the Super Buu vs. Gotenks battle. After that fight, he absorbs Son Gohan, Gotenks, and Piccolo. He fights Vegetto for a while, and loses horribly. Then he tries to absorb Vegetto. The Vegetto fusion breaks inside, and Son Goku and Vegeta free everyone inside. Super Buu comes inside and warns them not to remove Fat Buu from him... but what the hell, they do anyways. Vegeta, Son Goku, and everyone else are released, and they escape from Super Buu's stomach. After this, Super Buu transforms into...
Kid Buu: Ok... Super Buu was solely made of Fat Buu inside the newly born Evil Buu. Now, Fat Buu has just been released from Super Buu, and no one else is left. We're back to the purely insane and evil base, which was once Evil Buu. Now he's had a power upgrade and has become Kid Buu. Kid Buu is purely evil and purely insane, which makes him VERY dangerous. He may not be the strongest of the bunch of Buus, but since he's not holding back anything at ALL and he doesn't care about anyone or anything, not even himself, that makes him a very dangerous guy to have around. His pure insanity is noted by him blowing up the Earth... with him on it at the time. He fights Son Goku on Kaioshin-Kai, where he is eventually beaten and killed by Son Goku's Super Genki Dama.
East Kaioshin: This is the Kaioshin we all know. The young looking, white mohawked fellow. He is the highest ranking and most powerful God in existance before Rou Kaioshin is released. He goes to Earth with Kibit, and tries to find Majin Buu's egg. He nearly dies on Earth, but is brought back to health by Kibit. Kaioshin then gets Son Gohan to come with him to Kaioshin-Kai and trains him with the Zed Sword. He's there up to the point where Rou Kaioshin explains how Potara fusion works and then he and Kibit try it. That creates Kaiou-Bit... East Kaioshin is very strong indeed... but he's nothing compared to the Saiya-jins, which is something he and Kibit have a hard time realizing as the truth.
West Kaioshin: I really don't know anything much about this Kaioshin, but I just that it is worth noting that this is... or was... the only female Kaioshin.
Kibit: The huge guardian of the Kaioshin. He's a giant, redish-brown skinned guy with shoulder length white hair. He looks kinda old, you know, with wrinkles and all. Not a whole lot is known about the guy, but when he's on Earth, he does die fighting Dabura. He's brought back when Bulma wishes for everyone who died on Earth that day to come back to life, however. The last time we see him is on Kaioshin-Kai right before he fuses with East Kaioshin using the Potara Earrings. The spawn of that fusion was...
Kaiou-Bit: The combination of Kibit and East Kaioshin. He was created using the Potara Earrings... meaning that the fusion lasts forever. Kibit and East Kaioshin didn't know that though... hehe. Kaiou-Bit has the mixed abilities of them both, and is very strong, but still isn't much when compared to the Saiya-jins.
Rou Kaioshin: The revered Kaioshin. He was sealed in the Zed Sword for millions of years, and was released when Son Gohan broke it. Rou Kaioshin is accidentally Potara fused with an old witch, which gives him some certain magic powers that other Kaioshins just don't have. He's the man that's responsible for Son Gohan's massive power-up into Mystical Gohan, but that took quite awhile to do... 5 hours for the first dance ceremony, 20 hours for the concentration sequence... quite a long time. Rou Kaioshin is also responsible for resurrecting Son Goku a second time. He gave up his own life and gave it to Son Goku. Of course, he went dead for a moment... but then popped back up with a halo and asked what everyone was staring at. o_O Creepy... he also informs Son Goku, Kibit, and East Kaioshin about the Potara fusion.
Dai Kaioshin: This guy is like... the ruler of the universe. He's the highest ranking God there is. Millions of years ago, however, when Majin Buu was running amuck, he was absorbed by him. That made him into the ultra cutesy and playful Majin Buu we all know and love. When Majin Buu splits into Fat Buu and Evil Buu, he's still in Fat Buu. That's why Fat Buu looks like... what he looks like!
North Kaio: This is the Kaio we all know. The blue God that lives on Serpent Path. The famous trainer of Son Goku, Tenshinhan, Chao-Zu, and Yamcha (can't really count Piccolo, can you? He kinda did his own thing then...). He teaches Son Goku how to use the Kaioken technique, and how to create the Genki Dama. He's killed during the Cell saga by Cell. Son Goku grabs Cell and teleports to North Kaio's planet, where Cell explodes and Son Goku, North Kaio, Bubbles, and Gregory all die. He does continue to train Son Goku though, even though he is dead... another fun factoid, he's the second tallest Kaio.
South Kaio: The arch-rival of North Kaio. We see him during the Anoyoichi Budoukai, movie 12, and in the Majin Buu Saga a bit when he introduces Papoi to Son Goku and North Kaio. His best student is Papoi. He's the tallest Kaio we see, and he's orange.
West Kaio: The short monocle wearing Kaio. We see him during the Anoyoichi Budoukai, mainly. His best student is Paikuhan, the green frog-type fellow with the hat larger than the size of the Pope's. He's the shortest of the Kaios, and he's pink.
East Kaio: The only female Kaio. We see her during the Anoyoichi Budoukai, mainly. I'm not sure who her best student is... but she's the 2nd shortest of the Kaios, and she's green.
Dai Kaio: The most powerful Kaio. He rules over the all the Kaios. I really don't know a whole lot about the guy... I'll be honest. He does have a beard though!
Enmadaiou-Sama: He's the big purple ogre who sits at the big desk and judges people's lives. He doesn't do a whole lot that's really important, but at the beginning of the series he does allow Son Goku to travel Serpent Path and train with the North Kaio. That's pretty important. Also, before that, Enmadaiou-Sama was the only person to have ever went the entire distance on Serpent Path.
Bubbles: North Kaio's pet monkey. He helps North Kaio train people by making them chase him around the little planet until they catch him. This is done to help the trainee adjust to the gravity. Bubbles dies when Cell explodes on North Kaio's planet, though. He stays with North Kaio after he dies, however.
Gregory: North Kaio's overzealous pet cricket. He also helps train people by making people chase him around with a huge mallet until they strike him with it. This is done to strengthen the trainee and also helps them adjust to the gravity. Much like Bubbles, he dies when Cell explodes on North Kaio's planet, and also stays with North Kaio after his death.
Kami-Sama: The good part of the old Piccolo is still the reigning God. He trains Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Kuririn, Chao-Zu, and Yajirobe during the Saiya-jin saga, and also dies during it. Since Piccolo goes down then, he goes down too. He's brought back with Piccolo, though. Later on during the Android/Cell Saga, he refuses with Piccolo to become the whole Piccolo again.
Piccolo: The child of Piccolo-Daimao. At the beginning of the series, Piccolo is still a villain, but he decides to help Son Goku since he knows he can't beat Radditz alone. After that, right before he kills Radditz by decapitation, Radditz mentions 2 other Saiya-jins coming to Earth. Piccolo then takes Son Gohan away and trains him for a year so that he can fight with them when the Saiya-jins arrive. When they do arrive, they battle and when Son Gohan gets ready to be fried by Nappa, Piccolo steps in the way of the blast and protects Son Gohan. That's when he first dies. Later on, he's resurrected and transported to Namek where he first fuses with Nail, and then fights Freeza. After Son Goku steps in and uses the Genki Dama and Freeza comes back, Piccolo gets mortally wounded by a ki blast from Freeza. He's dragged offsides by Son Gohan to the Capsule Corp spaceship of Son Goku's where he rests until everyone is brought back to Earth and he is healed by Dende. Then later on in the Android/Cell Saga, he re-fuses with Kami-Sama to become the whole Piccolo again. He then starts living on Kami's lookout with Dende, the new God of Earth. After this he's turned to stone by Dabura, and then unstoned. He also helps Son Goten and Chibi-Trunks train to do the Fusion Dance. He then coaches Gotenks a bit during his battle with Super Buu. After which, he dies again when Kid Buu blows up the earth. But he's brought back, evidently.
Nail: Saichourou's private guardian on Namek. He's also the strongest warrior-Namekian on Namek before Piccolo arrives, with a power level of 42,000. He helps out the Z-Fighters on Namek by buying them and Dende some time while he tries to fight Freeza. He doesn't even scratch Freeza and gets the crap beat out of him. He's nearly killed, but then Freeza learns that all Nail has been doing is buying time for the others and then flies off to take care of them. Then Piccolo shows up and Nail has him fuse with him. He then lives inside Piccolo for the rest of the series.
Dende: The Namekian child we see Kuririn, Son Gohan, and Bulma help out on Namek. Dende shows Son Gohan and Kuririn to Saichourou and lets them get powered up by him. Dende is also given the power to heal by Saichourou, which comes in handy when they fight Freeza. He also makes their wishes on Namek for them. Freeza kills him when he sees how he can heal people, however. He's brought back with the Earth Dragon Balls, though. After the Freeza battle and their on Earth, Dende leaves with the other Namekians for New Namek. He comes back during the Android/Cell Saga to become the new God of Earth. He's also one of the few fortunate people who doesn't die when Kid Buu blows up the Earth.
Kargo: Dende's brother. He dies at the hand of Dodoria... but is wished back by the Earth Dragon Balls. He's then transported to Earth, and then to New Namek. That's the last we see of him...
Dabura: The King of the Demon World. Put under the influence of Babidi and made into one of his lackies. He fights Son Gohan, but then goes back and tells Babidi about Vegeta. After that, Babidi and Dabura gather the combat energy to hatch Majin Buu. After he's hatched, Majin Buu turns Dabura into a cookie and eat him... end of that story...
Babidi: The evil son of the magician Bibidi (you get the picture? Bibidi-Babidi-Buu...). He comes to Earth in search of Majin Buu's egg, and finds it along with his servent Dabura. They get all the energy they need to hatch Majin Buu's egg from Majin Vegeta and Son Goku fighting. Once he's hatched, he has Majin Buu take out everyone around, but then Majin Vegeta shows up, as does Piccolo. Majin Vegeta blows Majin Buu to bits and kills himself, while Piccolo blows Babidi into 2. But... he's healed up by Majin Buu and he flies off and wrecks havoc on Earth with Majin Buu. During Majin Buu's brief skirmish with Son Goku on Earth, however, Son Goku asks him why he's obeying such a weak little man while he's so damn powerful. That gets Majin Buu thinking, and so he kills Babidi because he doesn't need him.
Bibidi: The creator of Majin Buu and father of Babidi. He rampaged across the universe with Majin Buu millions of years ago, and then sealed him away in an egg because he was afraid that he would get to powerful and go out of his control. He sent the egg to Earth and then... uhh... he died...
Android #16: The largest, most powerful, and most friendly of the androids. He ends up helping the Z-Fighters during the Cell Saga. His internal bomb is so powerful that it could easily kill Perfect Cell. He plans on using that tactic as a suicide manuver when he fights Cell, but to his surprise, when he tries to activate it he finds that it has been taken out. When Cell blew #16 apart before, Dr. Briefs and Bulma rebuilt him and made him stronger, but also removed that pesky bomb. Sucks for him, I guess... then Cell blew him apart again, and after #16 gives a little speech to Son Gohan, Cell crushes his head. Shouldn't have done that...
Android #17: The brother of #18. He was created by Dr. Gero, but #17 didn't want to follow his orders and kicked off his head, followed by a stomping on his skull... killing Dr. Gero. #17, along with all the other androids, were only programmed to kill Son Goku. The third most powerful of these androids, he first fights against Piccolo. But then he changes up and helps the Z-fighters fight Cell. But, #17 overestimates himself and gets himself absorbed into Cell. After he's released and Cell is destroyed, #17 moves into a forest and lives off the land Grizzly Adams style...
Android #18: The sister of #17. A very potent warrior, the second strongest of the androids. She starts off fighting Vegeta, and beats the poo out of him, but then changes up much like #17 and helps the Z-fighters fight Cell. She gets absorbed much like #17, though. She's released when Son Gohan punches him so hard it makes him unabsorb #18. She falls in love with Kuririn and marries him... they have one kid, Marron. #18 is killed in the Majin Buu Saga when Super Buu eats everyone on Kami's lookout at that time...
Android #19: The big, round, and just outright fat android. He's the fourth strongest of the androids. He's an energy absorbtion type, meaning he can absorb energy through the red balls on his hands. He was mainly created for the purpose of putting Dr. Gero's brain into Android #20's body, which looks just like his own. He's killed by Vegeta when he turns SSJ, tears off #19's hands, and uses his Big Bang Attack on him. Very nifty...
Android #20: Actually Dr. Gero, a former scientist of Red Ribbon (note the Red Ribbon logos on all of the androids). He is the weakest of the androids. He's brought to life courtesy of #19. He fights people on Earth at various moments, and builds #16, #17, and #18. When he brings them to life, however, #17 doesn't like his bossy attitude much and knocks off his head, and then crushes it.
Cell: Also known as Android #21. He's composed of the DNA of the strongest fighters on Earth, including Son Goku, Piccolo, King Cold, and Vegeta. A very strong warrior... he's capable of absorbing people through his tail to gain new more powerful forms. He does this with #17 and #18 to become Perfect Cell. He can also create little super-powerful spawns called Cell Jrs.. He can regenerate himself as long as his main central nerve is still intact. Cell also creates the Cell Game, in which the most powerful fighters on Earth fight against him. He kills various people during the Cell Saga... #16, Mirai-Trunks, Son Goku, North Kaio, etc etc.... He's very tough, and without Son Goku around, who's gonna beat the guy. Son Gohan ends up being able to go SSJ2 after seeing #16 die at the hands of Cell. After that, Son Gohan uses a Kamehameha and eradicates Cell and his main nerve.
Freeza: The self-proclaimed ruler of the universe. He's the destructor of Planet Vegeta as well as many other planets. He's also the eradicator of 99% of the Saiya-jin race. He has one brother, Coola, and his father King Cold. Freeza goes to Namek to collect the Dragon Balls and become immortal. There he has several skirmishes with Namekians, all of which he overpowers incredibly. But then in his final round of fighting on Namek, he's up against Kuririn, Son Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo, Dende, and Son Goku. He kills off Dende, Kuririn, and Vegeta... and almost kills Piccolo. But Son Goku shows up and fights him, and when his injures Piccolo and kills Kuririn, he goes SSJ and totally gets stomped. He tries to use a double kienzan, but that fires as they eventually go around the world and while he isn't paying attention cuts him into 4 pieces. Then Son Goku delivers a final blast to Freeza after Freeza tries to kill him after Son Goku gave him some power to live. Freeza gets messed up pretty bad after the Namek explosion, but is made into Metal Freeza after King Cold picks him up. Then they both goto Earth where Metal Freeza fights Mirai-Trunks and gets eradicated by him... that's about it, except that he makes a short appearance in movie 12, but Son Gohan kills him with one punch.
King Cold: The father of Coola and Freeza. He repairs Freeza after his fight on Namek, and then comes to Earth. There he meets Mirai-Trunks, and, well... gets a hole blow through his chest and then gets blow up... that's about all there is to that guy...
Zarbon: The pretty boy underling of Freeza's. He has two forms, his "pretty" form and his "ugly" form. Ugly form of course is more powerful, and he has to turn into that to beat Vegeta the first time they fight. The second time they fight, however, he can't get the job done and ends up with a hole in his stomach at the bottom of a lake, thanks to Vegeta's big ki blast at point blanc range...
Dodoria: The pink, fat, spiky headed underling of Freeza's. Weaker than Zarbon, we see how powerful he is when he fights some weak warrior-Namekians. We see that he's actually not much of a fighter when he tries to scramble away from Vegeta, only to be blown to bits by him while he's trying to get away.
Captain Ginyu: The leader and most powerful of the Ginyu Force. He has an obsession with poses. When he fights Son Goku, he sees that he's weaker, and then uses his cheapo Switch Bodies technique and takes Son Goku's body. After that he tries to fight Vegeta, Son Gohan, Kuririn, and Son Goku again, but gets the crap knocked outta him. He tries to switch bodies with Vegeta, but Son Goku intercepts and things are back to normal. Then he tries again, and Son Goku intercepts with a frog. Ginyu's body hops off, and Ginyu-Frog does too. Ginyu-Frog comes across Bulma, however, and she makes a voice box for him. Then Ginyu switches bodies with her, and finds Kuririn, Piccolo, and Son Gohan. Kuririn and them figure it out, though, and when he attempts another body switch... Son Gohan intercepts with the frog that Bulma is in. He's then transported to Earth and is seen from time to time hopping around... he dies when Earth is blown apart by Kid Buu.
Jiisu: The red-skinned, white-haired member of the Ginyu Force. He tries to fight Son Goku, but just gets toyed with. He then has Captain Ginyu fight him, and when he switches bodies, they fly back to Freeza's ship. Vegeta takes on Jiisu there, and fights him for a while, but then blows Jiisu up there at the end... then later on there's a little bit with him and Baata fighting Tenshinhan, and he knocks them both down into Hell.
Rikum: The biggest member of the Ginyu Force (second tallest, most muscular...). He's the most muscle-bound of the Ginyu Force and the most human-looking. On Namek he faces off against Vegeta first, and beats him with only a bit of difficulty. If it weren't for Kuririn attacking Rikum, he'd of used his Rikum Eraser Gun attack and killed off Vegeta. But, since Kuririn went and did that, Rikum beat the crap outta Kuririn and took him out for the rest of the battle. Then he fought Son Gohan, who was a joke compared to Rikum, but tried as long as possible to carry out the battle. He gets his neck broken, however, and that's the end of him... but then Son Goku arrives with Senzu Beans all around. Then Rikum tries to use his Rikum Maha Attack, but his stomach meets Son Goku's elbow and he's knocked out. He's later killed by Vegeta. We see him one last time on North Kaio's planet when Yamcha knocks him down to Hell.
Baata: The tallest and fastest member of the Ginyu Force. He looks kinda like a bug that's blue. He's known for his incredible speed, which ends up being nothing compared to Son Goku's speed. He only fights Son Goku for a while, but is then knocked out of the air and gets his back broken. He lays on the ground crippled until Vegeta comes along and kills him off. He's then again seen on North Kaio's planet trying to do the Purple Comet Z Attack with Jiisu, but gets knocked down to Hell along with Jiisu courtesy of Tenshinhan.
Gerudo: The shortest and weakest member of the Ginyu Force. He's green and has four eyes. Gerudo really can't fight for beans, but what makes him so dangerous and valuable is that he can stop time. He can do that... but alone it's really not all that useful. It's only good in that it gives him time to run away and hide from his opponents. He does this a various amount of times when he fights Kuririn and Son Gohan, but ends up using his most powerful attack, which psychicly traps his opponents in the air. He almost kills them when he attempts to skewer them with a sharpened tree log, but is decapitated by Vegeta, which let's Kuririn and Son Gohan move out of the way. We see Gerudo one more time when he's on North Kaio's planet when he gets knocked down to Hell by... Chao-Zu...
Eliza: The first girl Son Gohan meets at Orange Star High School. She kind of has a crush Son Gohan a bit... and that's about it for her, besides the fact that she dies when Super Buu uses his Special Human Genocide Attack.
Sharpener: The jock at Orange Star High School. He doesn't have much faith in Son Gohan's athletic skill when he hears that he's gotten 100% on all his tests... but after the baseball game he plays with him, he quickly changes his mind. Sharpener soon starts a mission to find out who the Great Saiyaman really is, and finds out along with everyone else. He dies when Super Buu uses his Special Human Genocide Attack.
Angela: A girl that Son Gohan meets on the roof of Orange Star High School. Angela tells Son Gohan that she knows his "secret", and Son Gohan thinks that she knows that he's the Great Saiyaman. She makes him go out on a date with her, but during the course of the date, Son Gohan has to save the city from a burning building. When he comes back, Angela tells him what a bad date this has been and that she doesn't care if anyone knows that he wears teddy bear underwear, which ends up being the secret she was talking about... she dies when Super Buu uses his Special Human Genocide Attack.
Videl: The daughter of Mr. Satan. She attends Orange Star High School. She's kind of like the local protector of Satan City, and that's a well known fact around the city. Unlike the rest of the non-Z fighter humans, she's pretty strong. Stronger than her father, most likely. When the Golden Haired Warrior and Great Saiyaman appear, she attempts to find out who they are. She eventually deduces that it's Son Gohan. She bribes him in that she makes him participate in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai, and makes him teach her how to fly. She's taught to fly by Son Gohan, and masters doing it in 11 days. She then fights Spopobitchi in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai and get the crap knocked out of her... badly. She recooperates, however, eventually joins up with Bulma, Chichi, and some others in a quick search for Dragon Balls. Then they all go to Kami's lookout, where after a while, she's turned into candy by Super Buu and eaten. She comes back, however, and marries Son Gohan. She also becomes the Great Saiyaman 2. She also has one kid with Son Gohan, Pan, a 1/4 Saiya-jin.
Mr. Satan: The champion of the world. This guy is indeed strong (as demonstration of strength, the guy pulled 4 buses across a stadium)... but he's nothing compared to any of the Z-Fighters. He wins all of the Tenkaichi Budoukai from the 24th up. He participates in the Cell Game, and does fight Cell, but just gets punched once is knocked roughly a mile away into a mountain side. When Cell is killed, there's a big flash of light and the ZTV Reporter only sees Mr. Satan there, and he proclaims victory. He becomes the world's champion, and Orange Star City is renamed into Satan City, as it is where he lives. He then participates in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai, which he wins by agreeing to pay #18 20,000,000 zenii for her letting him win. He also goes to defeat Majin Buu, but ends up befriending and living with the guy. He gets shot in the chest there, but he's healed by Majin Buu. He's also spared from Super Buu's Special Human Genocide Attack. Not to mention that he doesn't die when Kid Buu blows up the Earth... it's as if the guy is just riding on luck.
Nappa: The Elite Saiya-jin soldier that bodyguards Vegeta. He much stronger than all of the Z-fighters at the time of their battle, and he even manages to knock off Tenshinhan (he dies trying to kill him with a kikou-hou), Chao-zu (tries the Jibaku technique), and Piccolo (steps in front of a huge ki blast headed for Son Gohan)... but when Son Goku came along, he got beaten pretty badly. Vegeta was so disgusted with Nappa's failure that he killed Nappa himself. He's seen again very shortly in GT when he's killed by Vegeta again.
Radditz: The first son of Bardock. Has extremely long hair, and is the weakest of the remaining Saiya-jins in the universe. He comes to Earth to recruit Son Goku, but ends up dying at the hands of Piccolo's Makankosappo.
Kamesennin: The Turtle Master returns... but this time he plays lesser of an important role. Actually, I don't believe he does do anything important. He's just comic relief and a sideline cheering person. He dies when Super Buu turns him into candy and eats him.
Oolong: The morphing pig has returned and does absolutely nothing that is essential to the series. He just cheers offsides and dies when Super Buu eats him...
Puar: The mighty morphing cat has come back as well, but much like the last two does absolutely NOTHING important other than cheering offsides for the Z-fighters and giving Yamcha advice every once in a while. He dies when he's eaten by Super Buu...
Yamcha: The second weakest of the Z-fighters. He starts off by training at Kami's lookout, but then dying fighting a Saibaman on Earth, courtesy of his kamikaze attack. He then trains at the North Kaio's planet for a while, but is then wished back. He fights the androids on Earth with the rest of the Z-fighters, but gets impaled by Dr. Gero and calls it quits. He then basically loses all interest in training and fighting and just goes around with the sideline cheer section people from that point on. Of course... he dies when Super Buu eats him like the rest of the cheer section...
Tenshinhan: The strongest of the human Z-fighters. He starts off by training at Kami's lookout, but then dies when he attempts to use his kikou-hou attack on Nappa and kill him, but fails. He then trains at the North Kaio's planet for a while, but is then wished back. He helps out somewhat during the android/cell saga, but doesn't help a ton. During the Majin Buu Saga, he is one of the few fortunate people on Earth that didn't die when Super Buu used his Special Human Genocide Attack. He even tries using a kikou-hou on Super Buu, but gets the poo knocked out of him for trying that... he dies when Kid Buu blows up the Earth.
Chao-Zu: The weakest of all the Z-fighters. He's Tenshinhan's best friend, and he resembles a little clown boy. He starts off by training at Kami's lookout, but then dies when he attempts to use his suicidal Jibaku attack on Nappa and kill him, but fails. He then trains at the North Kaio's planet for a while, but is then wished back. He doesn't even attempt to help during the Android/Cell Saga because he's so weak. He's also one of the few and fortunate individuals on Earth that didn't die when Super Buu used his Special Human Genocide Attack. He does die, however, when Kid Buu blows up the Earth.
Mr. Popo: God's big, black, red shoe, turbin wearing assistant. He helps out when training the Z-fighters for the Saiya-jin, and gathers the Dragon Balls for Kami during the Freeza Saga. Then in the Majin Buu Saga, he helps out by training Son Goten and Chibi-Trunks somewhat. He dies, however, when Super Buu escapes from the Room of Spirit and Time and eats everyone on Kami's lookout at the time.
Kuririn: The second strongest human Z-fighter. Perhaps the most unfortunate of them as well... in almost all of his battles, he tries to attack the opponent and gets taken out in one swift movement. In the Saiya-jin saga, he trains under Kami-Sama and he doesn't die when fighting the Saiya-jins. He does die, however, when they goto Namek and they fight Freeza. Freeza shoots him with a ki blast, which absorbs into his body. Freeza then expanded it and Kuririn went ka-blooie.He got wished back though, and helped out during the Android/Cell Saga. He also fell in love with #18 and ends up marrying her. They have one kid, Marron. During the Majin Buu Saga, he gets turned to stone by Dabura's spit, but is reverted when Dabura dies. Kuririn then hangs out with the cheer section up on Kami's lookout, hiding from Majin Buu. Then Super Buu comes along. When he escapes from the Room of Spirit and Time, Kuririn tries to distract him long enough for the others to escape, but fails and gets turned into candy and eaten, much like everyone else.
Maron: Kuririn last girlfriend before he met #18. She looks a lot like Bulma. They almost got married, but then Maron left him for a guy in red sport car. She dies when Super Buu uses his Special Human Genocide Attack.
Marron: Kuririn and #18's kid, named after Kuririn's former girlfriend. She's not seen a whole lot during the series, but is on Kami's lookout with her parent when Super Buu breaks outta the Room of Spirit and Time and is eaten by him.
Gotenks: The result of Son Goten and Chibi-Trunks's Fusion Dance. He owns the most amount of moves of any DBZ character. He's incredibly strong, but is also very very cocky, which ends up being his downfall in the fight with Super Buu. All throughout his fight with Super Buu, he uses stupid nonsense moves. But then about halfway through the battle, he starts fighting for real and goes SSJ3. He manages to beat Super Buu pretty badly in this form and probably would have beaten him, too, if it weren't for SSJ3 speeding up time and making the Fusion run out of time faster, making them unfuse. But Gotenks is refused later on, and gets ready to fight Super Buu again, but gets absorbed by Super Buu, where he eventually unfuses inside him
Vegetto: The result of Vegeta and Son Goku's Potara Earring Fusion. The Vegetto Fusion was supposed to last forever, but for some reason broke apart inside Super Buu's stomach. Vegetto is most likely the most powerful character in DBZ. During his fight with Super Buu, when Super Buu had Son Gohan, Son Goten, Chibi-Trunks, and Piccolo all absorbed, he still only played with Super Buu. And when he even tried a little, he totally stomped Super Buu. And then he goes SSJ and it isn't even a battle anymore. Super Buu attempts to change him into candy and eat him but nooo... Vegetto still beats the crap out of him in that form. The only reason Vegetto didn't kill Super Buu right off is because he wanted to rescue all the people he'd already absorbed. But when he did that, he unfused inside Super Buu's stomach. That's the last we see ever of Vegetto.
Saichourou: The "Guru" of the Namekians. All the Namekians we see were born from him. He helps Kuririn and Son Gohan by unlocking power within them and Dende by giving him a healing power and the password to the Dragon Balls. Saichourou dies of emotional distress caused by Freeza, but is brought back and then transported to Earth, where he finally dies.
Muuri: The new leader of the Namekians after Saichourou died. Saichourou himself picked him before he kicked the bucket. He stays on Earth with the Namek Dragon Balls long enough to get everyone wished back and then leaves for New Namek where Muuri, Dende, Kargo, and all the others live for the rest of their lives...
Tsuno: Tsuno was the elder of the village that Vegeta destroyed on Namek... that's about it...
Jewel: The pretty-boy fighter in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai. He was also the runner-up in the 24th Tenkaichi Budoukai. He participates in the Battle Royal and decides to go straight after #18 since she turned him down. #18 clobbers him though and he's knocked out of the ring. That's the last we see of him. He dies when Super Buu uses his Special Human Genocide Attack.
Killer: The big black competitor in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai. He participates in the Battle Royal, and goes after Mighty Mask (actually Trunks and Goten) because he thinks he's a fool for not thinking of Mr. Satan as a challenge. He's promptly knocked outside the ring by Mighty Mask. He dies when Super Buu uses his Special Human Genocide Attack.
Mighty Mask: Mighty Mask is actually a masked fighter who participated in the 24th and 25th Tenkaichi Budoukais. He WOULD'VE been in the Battle Royal, but he was mugged by Trunks and Goten, who stole his costume and participated in the Battle Royal as him. He dies when Super Buu uses his Special Human Genocide Attack.
Dr. Briefs: The father of Bulma and creator/founder of Capsule Corp.. He creates many useful things such as the popular Hoi Poi Capsules and the space ship that Son Goku used to get to Namek. He's a very smart individual, indeed, but he is a bit of a pervert. He also smokes and has a little kitty that constantly hangs on his shoulder that goes by the name of Tama-Sama. He dies when Super Buu uses his Special Human Genocide Attack.
Pui Pui: The henchman of Babidi's that tries to fight Vegeta, but just gets stomped and killed by Vegeta. Pui Pui also kills Yamuu... yay...
Yakkon: The henchman of Babidi that fought Son Goku. He tried to absorb Son Goku's energy, but he went SSJ2 and Yakkon was so overwhelmed that he exploded... that's his story...
Spopobitchi: The guy in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai that beat the shit out of Videl and then ran off. He, along with Yamuu, collected fighting energy for Babidi's hatching of Majin Buu. After they delivered the energy, Babidi made Spopobitchi explode... if that isn't gratitude, I dunno what is.
Yamuu: The guy who helped Spopobitchi gather fighting energy in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai. After Yamuu and Spopobitchi delivers the energy, Yamuu gets fed to Pui Pui... that's it for him.
Kui: The purple squidman lackie of Freeza's. He fought Vegeta on Namek, and Vegeta totally smoked him. When Kui tried to run away, Vegeta blew him apart.
Apple: The rejuvination machine worker onboard Freeza's ship. He worked the tank Vegeta was in after Zarbon brought him there. After Vegeta broke out though, he killed off Apple...
Uranai Baba: Kamesennin's older sister. She assists the Z-fighters every once in a good while, like during the Saiya-jin Saga when she let them use her crystal ball to watch the battle. She also does a few more important things, like letting Son Goku come back to Earth for one day and taking Vegeta down to Earth to assist Son Goku in the battle with Majin Buu. She never dies.
Cell Jrs.: The midget clones of Cell. They're all tougher than the Z-fighters, but after Gohan goes SSJ2, he kills off all of them...
Paikuhan: One of the competitors in the Anoyoichi Budoukai. He's a green, frog-looking guy who has a hat bigger than the Pope's. Paikuhan is also the West Kaio's best student. He's also strong enough to defeat Cell and Freeza. He fights Son Goku in the Anoyoichi Budoukai, in which no one wins...
Papoi: The South Kaio's best student. The only time we see him is when he introduces him to North Kaio and Son Goku while Son Goku is training.
Ubuu: The little black boy from a poor village that participates in the 28th Tenkaichi Budoukai. He's the reincarnation of Evil Buu. He was born a few months after Kid Buu kicked the bucket. He fights Son Goku in the 28th Tenkaichi Budoukai, and Son Goku sees that Ubuu is pretty strong. Son Goku goes off at the end of DBZ and trains Ubuu. That's it for Ubuu in DBZ... but in GT... hooboy...
Senpyou: The cat that lives in Karin Tower. He's the only person on Earth able to grow the important healing Senzu Beans. That's all that he does in the series that's important... growing the Senzu Beans for the Z-fighters. Yajirobe eventually moves in with him, and Senpyou dies when the Earth explodes thanks to Kid Buu.
Pan: Son Gohan and Videl's 1/4 Saiya-jin daughter. She participates in the 28th Tenkaichi Budoukai, but loses to Fat Buu in it. That's the end of her small stint in DBZ... but like Ubuu has a larger part in GT.
Bee/Wa-chan: Mr. Satan and Fat Buu's dog. Majin Buu first brings it back to Mr. Satan asking him what it is and why it didn't run away from him, and Mr. Satan shows him that it's a hurt little puppy. Majin Buu heals it in hopes of him then running away, but then he just wants to play with Majin Buu. So Majin Buu adopts the little puppy and names it Wa-chan. But then later on, Wa-chan was shot. But Majin Buu healed him, and they went about their merry way. Wa-chan didn't die when Super Buu used his Special Human Genocide Attack, and didn't die when the Earth blew up. I guess at some point during the period before the 28th Tenkaichi Budoukai and after Kid Buu's death Mr. Satan and Fat Buu renamed Wa-chan "Bee".
Aqua: The fishman competitor in the Anoyoichi Budoukai. He can't fight well at all on land, but when he's in the water, he even gives Son Goku a run for his money...
